LONDON (Reuters) - Stevie Wonder will tour Europe for the first time in more than a decade, organizers said on Thursday.

The Motown icon will open the trek on September 8 at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham, England. The tour is due to end on September 28 at the Bercy in Paris, with stops in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, the Netherlands and Italy on the way.

"I am looking forward to performing in these venues in Europe," Wonder, 58, said in a statement. "We are going to have some wonderful nights of intimate excitement."
