Trina Solar's 1st-quarter earnings rise

NEW YORK, June 6 (Reuters) - Trina Solar Ltd (TSL.N) on Friday reported its quarterly earnings more than doubled as the Chinese company ramped up output of its photovoltaic solar products.

First-quarter net income was $12.9 million, or 51 cents per American Depositary share, compared with $4.8 million, or 22 cents per share, a year earlier. (Reporting by Matt Daily, editing by Gerald E. McCormick)
