'22,477 Big Macs': New Autobiography Highlights Television and Movie
Appearances, Obsession With Big Macs and Sports

FOND DU LAC, Wis., June 11 /PRNewswire/ -- May of 1972 was a great month
for Don Gorske for two reasons: he got his driver's license and McDonald's
began offering an item called the Big Mac. By saving the empty containers, he
realized that he had eaten 265 Big Macs in the first month alone! Meet Don
Gorske in his new autobiography, "22,477 Big Macs"
(published by AuthorHouse -- http://www.authorhouse.com).
Gorske feels the need to count and organize items into lists and knows the
date and location where he has consumed every one of his "22,477 Big Macs."
Known as "The Big Mac Guy," Gorske has appeared on Oprah, Jimmy Kimmel Live
and in the film "Super Size Me." He also holds a Guinness World Record.
Gorske has eaten at least one Big Mac daily since 1972 with the exception
of only eight days. He carries a pocketbook detailing information about every
Big Mac he has ever eaten, and the title of "22,477 Big Macs" reflects the
number he has eaten so far and is also the number he was assigned when he and
his wife competed in and finished a marathon in 2006.
Gorske typically skips breakfast and lunch and for dinner eats two Big
Macs, a Coke and sometimes an order of fries. After 36 years, he still loves
Big Macs, and amazingly, he hasn't gained any weight since eating his first
Big Mac back in high school.
"22,477 Big Macs" gives a fascinating look into the life of a
self-described obsessive-compulsive person who loves sports and numbers almost
as much as he loves Big Macs. Gorske has visited 50 Major League Baseball
stadiums and seen his favorite team, the Milwaukee Brewers, in all 47 stadiums
the team has played in since the franchise's inception in 1970. He has been
to all 32 National Football League stadiums and each of the 22 NASCAR tracks.
He is even starting to visit college football stadiums. However, it's not
enough for Gorske to see a game in each stadium -- he also makes sure to eat a
Big Mac there, too!
Don Gorske finances his many trips by working as a prison guard and has
only missed one day of work in over 20 years. "22,477 Big Macs" was
constructed using his many lists and daily letters written to his wife. Find
out more about his fascinating life in this unique new autobiography.
