Waddell & Reed Financial, Inc. Declares Quarterly Dividend and Announces Date
of Second Quarter Earnings Release

OVERLAND PARK, Kan., June 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Board of
Directors of Waddell & Reed Financial, Inc. (NYSE: WDR) approved a quarterly
dividend on its Class A common stock of $0.19 per share payable on August 1,
2008 to stockholders of record as of July 11, 2008.
Waddell & Reed Financial, Inc. will announce second quarter 2008 earnings
before trading begins on the New York Stock Exchange, Tuesday, July 29, 2008.
