VANCOUVER--(Business Wire)--
CAPELLA RESOURCES LTD. (TSX VENTURE:CPS) ("Capella" or the
"Company") announces that due to winter weather conditions the Company
has temporarily shut down drilling on its Lajitas gold/copper property
in Chile (the "Lajitas Property"). The Company expects to resume
drilling on the Lajitas Property in September of this year.
The current drill program on the Lajitas Property is designed to
test a two kilometre diameter Induced Polarization ("IP") and Magnetic
geophysical anomaly with a 4,000 metre, nine core hole program.
Company geologists believe that the geophysical anomaly represents a
porphyry gold/copper system in the subsurface which is supported by
the results of Capella's 2006 drill program. The 2006 drill program
identified a significant area of gold mineralization (see Table 1
below) on the northwest corner of the IP/Magnetic anomaly with
mineralization open to south and east.

The Company mobilized a core drill rig to the Lajitas Property in
late March 2008 to test IP/Magnetic anomaly targets. Due to mechanical
problems and winter weather conditions, the drill program was limited
in scope with the drill hole LJ08008c obtaining a depth of 91 meters
before project shut down. Assay results are pending, however the
copper sulphides, bornite and chalcopyrite, were identified in the
drill hole from 17.5 to 25.5 metres.
Additionally, the Company completed a new IP and Magnetic
geophysical survey on its 100% owned Nevada gold-copper property (the
"Nevada Project") which is located 45 kilometres southwest of the
Lajitas Property between Kinross Gold Corporation's Maricunga gold
mine (Refugio mine) and Exeter Resource Corporation's Caspiche
Project. Preliminary results indicated a 1.8 kilometre diameter
conductive zone with corresponding bounding magnetic anomaly. The
Company plans to mobilize a drill in October 2008 to test the new
geophysical targets at the Nevada project.
