GARTMORE IRISH GROWTH FUND PLC                         

                              Ordinary 25p shares                              

The Company announces that it purchased in the market on 19 June 2008 6,000
Ordinary 25p Shares at a price of 725 pence per share for cancellation.

Following this transaction the number of shares in issue is 12,829,042 none of
which are held in Treasury.
