Online Linux Factory Displays Technology Leadership
PITTSBURGH--(Business Wire)--
Timesys Corporation(R) (http://www.timesys.com), a premier
provider of embedded Linux software solutions, today announced that
its Online Linux Factory has been awarded Best in Show honors at the
2008 Freescale Technology Forum in Orlando, Florida.

Timesys was awarded Best in Show - Best in Class honors within the
Development Support category by an independent panel of publishers and
analysts based on the Online Linux Factory's technical leadership and
innovation. Timesys was one of only two companies to receive the Best
in Show award at this year's forum.

The Online Linux Factory provides a simple web-based interface to
quickly specify, assemble and build a custom embedded Linux platform
for a select processor and associated target. Embedded developers can
select kernel versions and configurations, device drivers, toolchains,
glibc/uClibc packages and platform output options - all based on their
end application. Immediate feedback is offered throughout the process,
providing recommendations by Timesys engineers and indicating the
popularity of Linux component selections for a given application.

"We are honored to be recognized by Freescale's panel of industry
leaders," stated Greg Quiggle, Vice President of Marketing for
Timesys. "The Online Factory provides embedded developers with a very
innovative build-to-order framework to quickly customize a Linux
platform by leveraging a broad set of Linux components available
within the open source community."

The Online Linux Factory is currently available to active
LinuxLink subscribers for select processors, including the Freescale
i.MX27. For more information, contact us at www.timesys.com
