Specialized Information Publishers Foundation Gives 33 Editorial, Marketing Awards

VIENNA, Va.--(Business Wire)--
The Specialized Information Publishers Foundation handed out 33
awards from hundreds of entries at its annual Awards Presentation
Luncheon at the 32nd Annual International Newsletter &
Specialized-Information Publishers Conference in Washington on June 3.

   The first-place marketing awards, for Best Print Effort and Best
Non-Print Effort, were named in honor of the late Marjorie Weiner,
former vice president of the Foundation and former President of the
Specialized Information Publishers Association, who was a key force in
convincing the Foundation to add marketing awards to its annual
competition three years ago.

   UCG of Rockville, MD, took the largest number of winning entries,
with seven entries selected among the top three submissions in the
editorial categories and two among the top three finishers in the
marketing competition. UCG representatives won two first-place
editorial awards.

   Other multiple winners, each with two awards, were AHC Media of
Atlanta (both first-place), Irving Levin & Associates of Norwalk, CT
(both first-place), HCPro, Inc. of Marblehead, MA (one first-place),
and Bongarde Media Co. of Penticton, BC, Canada (one first-place).
