Eaton Vance Announces Recommendation to Merge Eaton Vance Insured Florida Plus Municipal Bond Fund into Eaton Vance Insured Municipal Bond Fund

BOSTON--(Business Wire)--
At a meeting held June 16, 2008, the Board of Trustees of Eaton
Vance Insured Florida Plus Municipal Bond Fund (AMEX: EIF), a
diversified closed-end investment company, voted to recommend that
shareholders approve a merger of EIF into Eaton Vance Insured
Municipal Bond Fund (AMEX: EIM), a diversified closed-end investment
company, at a special meeting of shareholders of EIF scheduled to take
place on Friday, October 31, 2008 at 1:30 P.M. EST. The meeting will
be held at the principal office of EIF, The Eaton Vance Building, 255
State Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02109. Proxy materials containing
information about the proposed transaction will be mailed to EIF's
shareholders of record as of August 22, 2008.

   Eaton Vance Management, the Funds' investment adviser, is a
subsidiary of Eaton Vance Corp., which is listed on the New York Stock
Exchange under the symbol EV. Through its subsidiaries, Eaton Vance
Corp. manages funds and separate accounts for individuals and
institutional clients. Eaton Vance and its affiliates had $159.1
billion in assets under management on April 30, 2008.
