Sam Houston State University Honors Alumnus, Co-Founder and President of
Profiles International With Naming of Facilities

WACO, Texas, June 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Sam Houston State University (SHSU)
has named an auditorium and a special athletics room in honor of Co-Founder,
President and CFO of Profiles International, Joseph "Bud" Haney.
Generous supporters of the university, Haney and his wife Joan have gifted
in excess of $1 million to SHSU over the years. In recognition of that
support, the College of Business Administration has named the auditorium in
the Smith-Hutson addition, the Bud and Joan Haney Auditorium.
"Bud is an inspirational role model for business students and is the
epitome of personal class and success as a former student/athlete," said R.
Dean Lewis, dean of the College of Business Administration.
Haney and his wife also provided funding for a special room, devoted to
the SHSU baseball and softball programs. The new room has been dedicated as
the Bud and Joan Haney Diamond Room.
While attending SHSU, Haney was a standout baseball player and is the only
player in SHSU history to be selected as a first-team All-American in four
consecutive years. After seeing the university's new baseball and softball
complex several years ago, Haney said he envisioned a place coaches and
players would be proud to bring guests, relax and feel comfortable.
"I wanted to do something to help make Sam Houston athletics stand out and
be well-known and well-perceived," said Haney of his decision to provide
funding for the room.
Haney graduated from SHSU in 1963, receiving a Bachelor of Business
Administration degree in accounting. In 1991, Haney co-founded Profiles

addition to being a co-founder, Haney currently serves as the company's
president and CFO.
Haney is a member of the College of Business Advisory Council at SHSU, a
member of the President's Council, a Life Endowed Member of the Alumni

inducted into both the Letterman's Hall of Honor and the College of Business
Hall of Honor.
