Gymnastics Fans Will Flip For Special Service to the U.S. Olympic Trials

Additional Broad Street Line Service Set For Phillies Weekend Baseball 

PHILADELPHIA, June 19 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Fans can score a perfect '10'
or hit a home-run on the SEPTA Broad Street Line as special "Sports Express"
service will be provided to the U.S. Olympic Gymnastic Trials and the
Phillies/Dodgers game this weekend at the Sports Complex.  

Whether you are cheering your favorite performer completing a triple
somersault or a triple play, thousands of fans can enjoy the speed, comfort,
and convenience the Broad Street Line offers to Pattison Station and the
Sports Complex. 

 On Friday (June 20), Sports Express trains will leave Fern Rock
Transportation Center beginning at 6:08 p.m. and operate every ten minutes
through 7:18 p.m. en route to the Sports Complex in South Philadelphia for the
gymnastics competition. In addition, the Phillies will take to the diamond
against the Dodgers at Citizens Bank Park. Both events are scheduled at 7 p.m.

SEPTA Broad Street Line Sports Express trains stop only at Olney
Transportation Center, Erie, Girard, Spring Garden, Race-Vine, City Hall and
Walnut-Locust Stations en route to Pattison Station at the South Philadelphia
Sports Complex. The express trip from City Hall takes only about eight
minutes. Local trains take only 11 minutes to travel to the sports complex
from City Hall. 

On Saturday (June 21), the excitement continues at the Sports Complex as the
finest U.S. gymnasts take to the floor at 3 p.m. Sports Express trains will
leave Fern Rock beginning at 1:48 p.m. and operate every ten minutes through
2:48 p.m. Sports Express trains will also operate for the scheduled 7:05 p.m.
Phillies game at 6:08 p.m., 6:18 p.m. and 6:28 p.m.


The Phillies begin the action on Sunday (June 22) with a scheduled 1:35 p.m.
game at Citizens Bank Park. Sports Express Trains will depart Fern Rock at
12:28 p.m., 12:38 p.m. and 12:48 p.m. en route to the Sports Complex. Later in
the evening, the quest for the nation's top gymnasts vying to receive a ticket
to the 2008 Beijing Olympics concludes with competitions scheduled at 6 p.m.
Sports Express trains will operate every ten minutes beginning at 4:48 p.m.
through  5:28 p.m.

After the events local and express trains will be standing by to provide
northbound service back to Fern Rock.
