Director of Sales for Manuscript Central

PHILADELPHIA, and LONDON, June 19 /PRNewswire/ -- The Scientific business
of Thomson Reuters today announced that Michael Phillippe has joined the
company as Director of Sales, reporting directly to Keith Collier, Vice
President and General Manager, ScholarOne.  In his new position, Phillippe
will be responsible for managing relationships with customers currently using
Manuscript Central and for growing new business.
    "Michael comes to us with deep knowledge of the publishing industry and
peer review systems and we are confident that he will do very well in his role
serving as both an advocate and innovator for the customer," said Collier.
    Mr. Phillippe's career includes more than 30 years of experience in the
chemical industry, publishing and consumer products marketing. Before joining
Thomson Reuters, Mr. Phillippe was director, customer relations at Aries
Systems Corporation where he was responsible for major account sales in
scientific, social sciences and humanities publishing. Prior to his three-year
tenure with Aries, Phillippe held several senior sales and marketing, and
consulting positions at companies and institutions focused on the STM market.
