VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Jun 19 (MARKET WIRE) --
VMS Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE: VMS) (the "Company") is pleased to report
on its ongoing exploration program at the Reed Lake Discovery Zone near
Snow Lake, Manitoba.
Highlights:
RD-08-35: 19.80 m (64.96 ft) of 2.70% Cu and 1.72% Zn
Including 12.11 m (39.73 ft) of 3.52% Cu and 1.96% Zn
Including 7.51 m (24.64 ft) of 5.02% Cu and 1.77% Zn
Hole RD-08-35 was drilled from the same set up and azimuth as holes
RD-08-23 and RD-08-38 and approximately 45 m to the east of the western
most intercept of mineralization so far, hole RD-08-39.
One drill continues testing the strike and depth extent of mineralization
at the western edges of the Discovery Zone and a second drill is testing
the Discovery Zone mineralization to the east and to depth.
A third drill is testing a strong off hole conductor detected in a recent
downhole survey of hole TZ-08-02, related to the Tower Zone anomaly,
1,000 m to the east of the Discovery Zone. The Tower Zone anomaly is a
series of geophysical conductor anomalies that have been identified in
airborne, and in greater detail in the DeepEM survey over a 1.2 km
length. Previous holes in the area have not explained the conductor, but
have intercepted altered rocks and trace amounts of copper and zinc
sulphides along with iron sulphides, in what may represent foot wall
alteration to a VMS deposit.
