BRUSSELS, June 19 (Reuters) - The following are proposed mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures under review by the European Commission, and a brief guide to the EU merger process:
APPROVALS AND WITHDRAWALS:
-- German utility E.ON EONG.DE acquires sole control of the business activities of Spanish power firm Endesa (ELE.MC) in the electricity sector in Europe outside Spain, of certain other assets and rights of Endesa, and of certain subsidiaries of Italian peer Enel (ENEI.MI) in Spain (approved June 19)

-- Swedish investment company Stena Adactum buys Swedish kitchen, bathroom and storage furnishings maker Ballingslov International BALL.ST (notified June 13/deadline July 18/simplified)
-- Swedish private equity fund Altor Fund II buys the Akers group, a Swedish maker of rolls used in the steel and aluminium industry (notified June 16/deadline July 22/simplified)
