 WARSAW, June 19 (Reuters) - Here are news stories, press
reports and events to watch which may affect Central/Eastern
Europe's financial markets on Thursday.
 
 TERMOELECTRICA
 State-owned power producer Termoelectrica has formed a
consortium with Italy's Enel (ENEI.MI) and Germany's E.ON
EONG.DE to build a new 800 MW hard coal power unit in
south-eastern Braila, daily Ziarul Financiar reports. 
 The investment, seen at around 1 billion euros, is pending a
feasibility study that should be completed by the end of 2008.
 TIRIAC
 A unit of local Tiriac Holdings, owned by businessman Ion
Tiriac, will kick off a 1 billion euro real estate project in
2010 near capital city Bucharest, daily Ziarul Financiar
reports.
 ZENTIVA
 Zentiva NV ZNTVsp.PR board of directors will release a
statement "within several days" in which it will recommend to
investors how to respond to bids by two major shareholders -- 
Sanofi-Aventis's (SASY.PA) and PPF's takeover bids, Zentiva CEO
Jiri Michal tells Mlada Fronta Dnes daily.

 AAA
 Czech used car dealer AAA Auto Group NV (AAAAsp.PR) is
likely to leave the Polish market and will decide on Romanian
business by the end of the year, writes E15.

 CIECH
 Polish chemicals maker Ciech CECH.WA plans to buy a
majority stake in smaller state-owned rival Tarnow, it says on
Wednesday after buying a 6.5 percent stake in an IPO.

 RWE
 German power group RWE (RWEG.DE) may be interested in buying
a closed mine in southern Poland that could be worth 200 million
zlotys, Rzeczpospolita writes, without citing sources.
 
 EUROPEAN MARKETS
 European shares are set for a mixed start on Thursday, in
which British stocks are expected to open largely unchanged as
heavyweight commodity stocks get a lift from raw material
prices, while French and German stocks are in for a modest
decline.

 The Dow industrials sank to their lowest close in three
months on Wednesday after slipping below 12,000 for the first
time since mid-March, as worries about a weak economy compounded
