Peabody Energy names new chief financial officer

NEW YORK, June 19 (Reuters) - U.S. coal company Peabody Energy Corp (BTU.N) said on Thursday that Michael Crews will replace Richard Navarre as chief financial officer.

Navarre was appointed president and chief commercial officer.

Crews, promoted from vice president of operations planning, will report to Chairman and Chief Executive Gregory H. Boyce and will be responsible for all financial and accounting duties.

Peabody, which recently beat Wall Street first-quarter profit expectations, said it expects earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) to be as much as 50 percent higher than previously anticipated. (Editing by Jeffrey Benkoe)
