Juniper MX- and T-series Routers Selected by Comcast for Commercial Services and Metro Network Architecture Applications SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(Business Wire)-- Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:JNPR), the leader in high-performance networking, today announced that Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ: CMCSA, CMCSK), the nation's leading provider of entertainment, information and communications products and services, has ordered additional Juniper Networks MX-series Ethernet Services Routers and T1600 core routers. The Juniper Networks MX-series portfolio of Ethernet Services Routers delivers increased network performance, scalability and reliability in a broad range of power- and space-efficient platforms, including the MX240, MX480 and MX960 -- the largest capacity Carrier Ethernet platform currently available in the market. "We're pleased to expand our relationship with Comcast to help support the delivery of their residential and business services," said Kim Perdikou, executive vice president and general manager, Infrastructure Products Group, Juniper Networks. "We believe this expansion will strengthen the relationship and could lead to new opportunities for Comcast to deploy Juniper's service-enabling network infrastructure in additional parts of its network, such as its Converged Regional Access Network."
