BEIJING, June 30 (Reuters) - China's Premier Wen Jiabao on Monday urged the United States to stabilise the dollar, state television reported.

The choice of wording on the dollar marked a slight difference from comments earlier this year by Wen, when he said China was concerned about the sustained depreciation of the dollar and did not know when it would bottom out.

Wen was speaking in a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who was on the second and final day of a visit to China.

Wen also expressed his wish that the U.S. overcome the subprime crisis as soon as possible, saying uncertainty in the world economy was a challenge to both developed and developing countries. (Reporting by Simon Rabinovitch)
