LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - British actor Tim Roth, currently in theaters with "The Incredible Hulk," is making a rare foray into television with the one-hour Fox pilot "Lie to Me." He will play the lead role, a cutting-edge researcher in the field of "deception detection."

His TV credits include the 2006 HBO miniseries "Tsunami: The Aftermath" and the 1993 ABC movie "Murder in the Heartland." He received an Academy Award nomination for his supporting role as a villain in the 1995 movie "Rob Roy."
