Jennifer Holland Is Managing Editor, Matt Mitovich and Mickey
O'Connor Are Senior Editors
NEW YORK--(Business Wire)--
TV Guide Online, a part of Macrovision Solutions Corporation
(NASDAQ:MVSN), announced today that it has named three editors to new
positions. Jennifer Holland, a former national editor for The
Associated Press, will be the site's new managing editor, and
TVGuide.com editors Matt Mitovich and Mickey O'Connor will become
senior editors.
Holland, reporting to editor-in-chief and vice president of
marketing Christy Tanner, will oversee day-to-day editorial operations
for TVGuide.com and the seven additional sites in TV Guide Online's
network, which had record traffic in May with over 13 million unique
users.
Mitovich and O'Connor will focus on entertainment news and
analysis for TVGuide.com, as well as leading the conversation with the
site's active user community. Mitovich will continue his weekly online
video news segment, the Mitovich Mega Minute, and his regular
in-studio and red carpet video interviews with celebrities.
"Our editorial expertise and unique editorial voices have been key
factors in our record growth this year," said Tanner. "These additions
further strengthen our editorial team of over 20 people and position
us for additional growth."
Holland joined TV Guide Online from the New York headquarters of
The Associated Press, where she was a National Editor focused on
breaking news. Holland began her journalism career with the AP in Iowa
and later served as a statehouse correspondent and news editor in
South Carolina. She graduated from Iowa State University.
Mitovich joined TV Guide Online in June 2006 as News Editor
responsible for TVGuide.com's news blog "Today's News: Our Take," and
most recently served as TVGuide.com's managing editor. Mitovich is a
graduate of Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public
Communications.
Before joining TV Guide Online in December 2007, Mickey O'Connor
worked for Entertainment Weekly's EW.com and for Architecture
magazine. He is the coauthor of The One and Only Flickheads Guide to
the Movies and is a graduate of Columbia University's Graduate School
of Journalism with honors in cultural reporting and writing.
