Mexico's Alfa 2nd-qtr net profit falls 16 pct

MEXICO CITY, July 22 (Reuters) - Mexican conglomerate Alfa said on Tuesday its second-quarter net profit fell 16 percent, hurt by higher financial costs, but topped analysts' expectations.
Alfa (ALFAA.MX) earned 1.157 billion pesos ($112 million) in the April-June period.
Analysts expected quarterly net profit of 874 million pesos according to a Reuters poll. ($1 = 10.3070 at end June)
