SEOUL, July 22 (Reuters) - Unlisted GM Daewoo Automotive and Technology Co, South Korea's No.3 auto maker, said on Tuesday it had resumed production at a halted plant after domestic tyre makers began supplying it with tyres again.

"Hankook Tire (000240.KS) and Kumho Tire (073240.KS) resumed their supplies from this afternoon. Both tyre makers told GM Daewoo that they accepted an order by the court to not suspend tire supply (to GM Daewoo)," a GM Daewoo official said.

GM Daewoo filed a complaint with the Seoul Central District Court on July 17 asking it to bar tyre makers from cutting off supplies.

On July 18, a GM Daewoo manufacturing facility (GM.N) was forced to halt vehicle output after Hankook and Kumho stopped supplying tyres to the firm when GM Daewoo refused to enter talks on a tyre price hike.

An official said that GM Daewoo was still considering whether the company would participate in negotiations on tyre prices.

Hankook and Kumho Tire account for more than 85 percent of tires on GM Daewoo's vehicles.

"We are still calling for a 12 percent hike in tyre prices," said Calvin Pak, a Hankook Tire spokesman, adding that GM Daewoo had so far refused to discuss a deal with the firm.

Kumho was not available for comment.
