Cavidi Calls for Greater Access to HIV Monitoring at AIDS 2008 Conference in
Mexico

UPPSALA, Sweden, July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Cavidi is attending the XVII
International AIDS Conference in Mexico City, August 3-8, 2008 to spread its
message of the need for greater access to HIV viral load monitoring.
Lately the supply of HIV medicines (ARVs) to the developing world has
been increasing. This is a wonderful development. However, access to viral
load tests that measure the level of the HIV virus in a patient - which is so
crucial to proper administration of HIV drugs, is lagging far behind. Some
still believe that these tests are too costly and complicated to work in
resource-limited settings.
Journalists are invited to meet Martyn Eales, CEO, Cavidi, at AIDS 2008
to discuss why better and more accessible HIV viral load monitoring is
necessary. He can also discuss how Cavidi's product, ExaVir Load, makes viral
load testing more accessible and helps provide patients with better HIV
treatment, particularly in the developing world.
Cavidi's work and products received global attention when it was featured
on CNN's World Report, May 2008, among others.
    Date: August 3-8, 2008
Place: Centro Banamex, Av. Conscipto 311, Col. Lomas de Sotelo, Del.
           Miguel Hidalgo, Mexico D.F.
    Booth: 205
