Longview Advantage Selects Numerex Satellite Technology for Innovative M2M
Solution
Customized tracking and management solution combines satellite capabilities
with rugged SX1 design to monitor engine run-time
ATLANTA, July 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Numerex Corp. (Nasdaq: NMRX), a
leading provider of full-service, highly secure machine-to-machine (M2M)
network services and solutions, today announced Longview Advantage has become
a Value Added Reseller (VAR) for its satellite solutions. Longview Advantage
Limited integrates powerful GPS, Internet and cellular technologies to deliver
innovative solutions for theft protection and recovery, fleet management, and
asset tracking.
Effective immediately, Longview will add Numerex's SX1 device to its
satellite product suite, under the name "Advantage SX1".
"Longview Advantage joins a growing list of solution providers building
solutions on Numerex M2M technology," said Mike Marett, Chief Operating
Officer for Numerex. "Our success in the marketplace is attributable to
customers like Longview that add value and introduce new and innovative
solutions to the marketplace, in this case by integrating one of the toughest
and most reliable satellite-based tracking devices in the industry."
The ability to monitor engine-run time was a key factor for Longview
Advantage in making the decision to become a VAR for Numerex's satellite
solutions. This capability will advance the screening of hours that equipment
is used as well as provide alerts for regular maintenance and inspection --
decreasing the chance of unanticipated costs or breakdowns in valuable assets.
"Satellite-based devices add value to asset tracking, protection, and
location as well as provide reliable information that enables customers to
easily manage their equipment maintenance schedules," said Bill Quinney,
President of Longview. "Numerex's solutions allow us to deliver even more
benefits of using our services to track equipment location and diagnostics for
our customers."
