- Eqos 4.2 Enhancements Enable Retailers to Make More Informed
Decisions across Sourcing Operations and Supplier Networks -
BURLINGTON, Mass. & LEATHERHEAD, England--(Business Wire)--
Eqos, a leading provider of on-demand PLM, global sourcing and
supplier management solutions for the retail supply chain, today
announced the immediate commercial availability of Eqos 4.2. Currently
in use by customers, Eqos 4.2 delivers actionable information via
dashboards, adds rigor to product testing procedures and further
streamlines sourcing and order management processes.
Eqos 4.2 delivers significant enhancements to retailers, agents,
brokers and manufacturers that are looking to decrease the lead times
of private label and other imported goods by improving visibility and
collaboration with agents, factories and distributors. New
functionality also offers improvements in the area of quality and
compliance, providing retailers with more rigorous product testing
procedures and better control over supply network performance.
Enhanced functionality includes the following:
-- Eqos dashboards deliver actionable information via visual
consolidation of sourcing and supplier data on role-based
dashboards accessible via the web. User-configurable
dashboards provide decision makers with the ability to
summarize and analyze current sourcing activities, integrate
supplier performance into key decision making processes and
take action on high priority items.
-- Product testing enhancements enable retailers to adopt more
comprehensive procedures and proactively manage quality
throughout standardized testing processes. It also decreases
the costs and risks associated with product recalls and
corrective actions by more readily detecting defects earlier
in the sampling and sourcing processes.
-- Sets and Kits capabilities have been enhanced to better
streamline and consolidate processes for groups of products to
be merchandised and sold as a set. By minimizing duplication
of efforts across the design and sourcing processes, retailers
are better able to negotiate with suppliers at both a set and
product level.
-- Order Management improvements include streamlining the
management of continuity lines, allowing buyers to more
efficiently create or modify new designs based on existing
styles and better negotiate with existing and new suppliers.
"This latest product release further consolidates Eqos' position
as a market leader in providing best-of-breed sourcing and supplier
management solutions," said Jane Biddle, chief marketing officer and
vice president U.S. operations. "Eqos continues to demonstrate our
commitment to developing quality solutions that enable retailers to
effectively compete and expand globally even in today's challenging
economic environment."
