- The most creative Do Dibs Instead(TM) short film has a chance to win $1,000,
and a chance at the $10,000 national prize -
OAKLAND, Calif., July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Dibs(R) brand ice cream snacks is
setting the stage for Southern California's most talented undiscovered
filmmakers with the opportunity of a lifetime. In the Dibs(R) Bite-Sized
Showdowns, contestants create 30-45 second videos showing how they Do Dibs
Instead (TM). Selected films submitted by Southern California teens will be
showcased at a local Dibs Bite-Sized Showdown on August 11, 2008 at Regal Mira
Mesa Stadium 18 movie theater. Attendees of three Southern California
showcases will vote on their favorite film, and the winner will take home a
$1,000 cash prize.
Local teens who submit a film will also be competing against other
contestants nationwide for a chance to win the Dibs Bite-Sized Film Fest(TM)
grand prize -- $10,000 and the chance to have their film aired on MTV.
To enter, teens upload a video to the website at
http://www.dibsfilmfest.com, go to the editing room where the movie magic
happens and turn their hot idea into a cool flick. They have the option to
start with a clip from the available video library or upload one of their own,
then they edit like a pro from shot to shot and lay down a sweet soundtrack
from the Mash-Up Tool to really make it pop.
San Diego contestants who submit a film online will be invited to attend
the local Bite-Sized Showdown in Mira Mesa to compete for the $1,000 prize.
The movies will also be viewed and rated at the Dibs Bite-Sized Film Fest
website. The highest rated movie on the website has the best chance of winning
the $10,000 grand prize. Movies with the biggest numbers win, so it pays to
spread the word. Those who go online daily could be one of multiple instant
winners of cool stuff like a MacBook air(TM), a Flip Video(TM) camcorder or
coupons for Dibs(R) bite-sized ice cream snacks.
Playing a starring role in the Dibs Bite-Sized Film Fest is the new
Dibs(R) Snack Bag in both Nestlé Crunch(R) and Vanilla flavors. Ice cream,
chocolate, and your favorite flavors mashed up in one bite. Easy to grab and
take on the go ... these frozen snacks are perfect for any occasion. Dibs
