Tanya Newton Named Manager, Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Operations, SAFE-BioPharma Association FT. LEE, N.J.--(Business Wire)-- Tanya Newton has been named Manager, Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Operations for SAFE-BioPharma Association, the non-profit association that created and manages the SAFE-BioPharma(TM) digital identity and digital signature standard for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. The SAFE-BioPharma standard was established by the biopharmaceutical industry to help it transform to a fully electronic environment from inefficient paper-based business and regulatory processes. In the newly created position, Ms. Newton supports a variety of Association functions including Business, Governance, Compliance and Regulatory Affairs, the SAFE-BioPharma EU Advisory Council and the Association's working groups. She also works closely with organizations with which SAFE-BioPharma collaborates. Ms. Newton most recently was Manager, US Preclinical Development Protocol & Report Operations in Johnson & Johnson's Pharmaceutical Research and Development organization. In this role she managed projects relating to early and late development submissions for Preclinical Research. In addition, she was the Functional Area Lead for US Preclinical and Global Discovery Teams for both the Documentum and Core Dossier systems. She holds a BA from Jones International University.
