LONDON, NEW YORK and CHICAGO, July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Fox-Pitt Kelton
Cochran Caronia Waller ("FPKCCW"), a leading global investment bank
specializing in the financial services sector, has expanded its research team
in commercial bank stocks. David Trone has been named Head of Commercial and
Investment Banks Research and has added bank stocks, J.P. Morgan and
Citigroup, to his long-standing coverage of U.S. investment banks and brokers.
Tom Alonso has been promoted to cover mid-Atlantic and northeast banks and
thrifts while Brent Christ continues to focus on western regional banks.
Brent also has relocated to our Boston office, further expanding our
on-the-ground presence with our institutional equity clients in this important
region.
In addition to these internal moves, the firm has also made a few external
hires. Assisting David on the banks will be Bimal Shah, who recently joined
from Citigroup where he worked in the Global Consumer Group. Eugene Koysman
has joined to assist senior analyst Andrew Marquardt, who covers large-cap,
trust, and midwest regional banks. Finally, Billy Young joins FPKCCW to
assist Al Savastano in coverage of primarily southeast regionals.
With U.S. bank stocks under significant pressure, investors now more than
ever need quality advice and insights, yet many sell-side firms have been
cutting staffing. By contrast, FPKCCW believes the announced changes and
additions to its research staff demonstrate a strong commitment to providing
industry-leading coverage of U.S. bank stocks.
