"Management is pleased to announce the first quarter of 2008 results,
many months of development began to produce tangible results for
Smartcard Marketing Systems (PINKSHEETS: SMKG). Customers using the
VelocityMoney.com Internet platform processed almost $450,000 in deposits
in the first quarter, a 637% gain over the first quarter of 2007. During
this quarter the company's distributors activated over 1,100 new prepaid
MasterCards our largest month recorded. The company also began processing
payments from use of the "HomeATM" for the first time during this
quarter. These advances contributed to a 34% increase in operating
results from the first quarter of last year. As our business continues to
grow with new merchants and consumers our existing clients have only just
begun to utilize our services which will result in continued exponential
