Venture Forum Highlights the 2008 M&A and IPO's in the Winner's Circle for
Healthcare

MASSAPEQUA, N.Y., July 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Conference organizer
International Business Forum will highlight this year's MidAmerica Healthcare
Winner's Circle on October 1st.  Companies to be awarded the M&A include
Apptec, NimbleGen, and Renal Solutions.  Tomo Therapy is being awarded the IPO
of the year.  All are in Recognition for Outstanding Deal Execution.
    Accepting the award for Apptec is former CEO & Founder, Bonnie Baskin.
Apptec is a unique single source for the biopharmaceutical/biotechnology and
medical device/medical product industries -- offering testing, contract
research and development, and cGMP manufacturing services.  Apptec was
acquired by WuXi PharmaTech (Cayman) Inc. in January of 2008 and is traded on
NYSE as WX.  The total value of the transaction including payment of Apptec's
debt was approximately $151 million.
    Accepting the award for NimbleGen is Former Chairman, Bob Palay.
NimbleGen was acquired by Roche in June of 2007 and is traded as ROG.VX.
Under the terms of the agreement, Roche paid NimbleGen's shareholders $272.5
million.  NimbleGen is a leading innovator, manufacturer and supplier of a
proprietary suite of DNA microarrays, consumables, instruments and services.
    Renal Solutions Board Member, John McIlwraith Managing Director at Blue
Chip Venture Company will be accepting for the company. Renal Solutions a
wholly-owned subsidiary of Fresenius Medical Care, is leading the advancement
of sorbent therapy for improved renal replacement therapy. Fresenius Medical
Care acquired Renal Solutions back in November 2007 for $200 million and is
listed on the NYSE as FMS.
    Board Member, John Neis Co-Founder & Managing Director of Venture
Investors, LLC will accept for Tomo Therapy.  Tomo Therapy is based in the
U.S. with European offices in Belgium and distribution throughout the world.
The company owns multiple issued U.S. patents and has a number of patent
applications pending, both in the U.S. and worldwide. The company also holds
an exclusive license on more than 100 issued patents and pending applications
globally.  Tomo Therapy listed on NASDAQ May 2007 as TOMO.
    The Winner's Circle is scheduled to take place 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday,
October 1st at The Westin Hotel in downtown Cincinnati. The session will
highlight what made these deals significant and how they came together.
