NEW ORLEANS, LA, Jul 22 (MARKET WIRE) --
Universum Communications announced the names of the Top 100 Ideal
Employers among Diverse Students, formerly The Top 100 Diversity
Employers Study. The Universum's research is different from any other
ranking of diversity today.

The Universum Survey, 2008 is a quantitative survey of the career
expectation and employment preferences of the over 13,000 diverse students
on over 61 campuses. Universum analyzes the students' perceptions captured
in the research to measure Employer Brand Image, Employer Value
Proposition and the best vehicles and practices of employers. The survey
also asked students to select their top 5 "ideal" employers. The results
of the survey determined the Top 100 Ideal Employers.

Universum has granted exclusive publishing rights to THE BLACK COLLEGIAN
Magazine to publish the 2008 Top Ideal Employer rankings and trend
information as the magazine has once again been identified as the medium
students read to learn more about employers. The Top 100 Ideal Employers
list and other findings will be published in THE BLACK COLLEGIAN's First
Semester Super Issue in September.

According to Universum's findings, the best way for employers to attract
diverse students is by offering them internships. Internships help
employers recruit more students and students tell other students about
their experiences.

"Employers that have gained recognition for their commitment to diversity
are viewed as 'employers of choice' by all students because these
employers are generally viewed as more progressive," says Claudia
Tattanelli, CEO of Universum Communications, Inc.

"Minority students are first and foremost searching for employers that are
known to value diversity and to have made a public commitment to
recruiting a more diverse workforce," said Preston J. Edwards, Sr., CEO
and Publisher of THE BLACK COLLEGIAN Magazine. They believe that they
will have a higher comfort level in launching their career with employers
that have a reputation for diversity.

It is important to note that this ranking of the Top 100 Ideal Employers
is based solely on a preference survey of university students. The
preference is based upon what the students know about these employers,
which is based upon previous internship experiences, "word-of-mouth,"
advertising, brand recognition and goodwill. These employers have been
successful in communicating to Minority College students that the
"American dream" can be a reality for them too, and they believe that
these employers will deliver on that dream.

The top ten on the Top 100 Ideal Employers list are: 1. Google, 2. Goldman
Sachs, 3. Walt Disney, 4. Apple Computer, 5. Microsoft, 6. JP Morgan, 7.
Ernst & Young, 8. Deloitte, 9. U.S. Department of State, and 10. McKinsey
& Company. For the complete list, go to www.blackcollegian.com.
