WASHINGTON, DC, Jul 22 (MARKET WIRE) --
The Web Analytics Association (WAA) is pleased to announce the winner of
the first Web Analytics Championship. ClickThinking was honored for its
innovative and insightful analysis using site and traffic data for Web
site improvement. Judged by some of the top Web analysts in the industry,
participants were given the opportunity to examine the WAA Web site and
provide support-based feedback and suggestions for increasing site
conversion.

The WAA hosted the Web Analytics Championship during the second quarter of
2008 as a way to promote the Web analytics field and encourage
collaboration between WAA members. Twenty analytics reports were submitted
over the course of two weeks, providing insights and observations about
the WAA site. ClickThinking was able to extract value from the information
given in order to outline a clear description of the problem at hand and
offer recommendations based on the data reviewed.

Creative and insightful Web analytics reporting and analysis of a Web site
can improve site conversion and clarity of a brand's message. Using the
WAA Web site as a platform for observation and comment, ClickThinking
focused on solving the critical problems of the site head on.

Judges included Avinash Kaushik, author and analytics evangelist at
Google, Neil Mason, managing director of Applied Insights, and June
Dershewitz, vice president of analytics for Semphonic. They were
impressed with the team's ability to convey solutions in clear language,
often a source of frustration for both Web analytics and marketers.

"While it is important for marketers to understand and recognize the value
of site analysis, and how analytics is essential for improvement, it is
the responsibility of the Web analyst to convey their findings and
solutions in a language their audience understands," said Kaushik.
"ClickThinking presented an insightful and creative report, without
getting mired in technical recommendations. Their report is a prime
example of beneficial analysis as it relates to Web site messaging,
clarity and ultimately, conversion. And they made analytics engaging."
