The Olympic tradition inspired people to gather in peace and harmony and to
compete with fairness and justice.  The panelists will discuss the Olympics,
human rights, press freedom and how to engage more effectively with China
before and after the 2008 Beijing Olympics. How can we turn around the failing
pledges to the IOC from 2001 and turn the victims into victors? What steps
might the international community take to bring greater freedoms to the
Chinese people in the future?

WHO:

Hon. David Kilgour, J.D., former Canadian Secretary of State for the
Asia-Pacific (2002-2003), chair of the Canadian International Council,
Director of Council for a Community of Democracies, and co-author of the
investigation "Bloody Harvest" will speak about his report, Beijing Olympics
and the need for new international trade laws on the part of China's trading
partners to restore the rules of the World Trade Organization.

Shirley Wu, Ph.D., associate professor of physics, Director of Public
Relations at Sound of Hope Radio Network, will address the restrictions on the
media prior to the Olympics and SOH's experiences engaging directly with the
Chinese people on rights and fundamental freedoms.

Torsten Trey, MD, Ph.D., Chief Executive Director of Doctors Against Forced
Organ Harvesting, will present aspects of the human rights violations taking
place in China since having been awarded the Olympic Games in 2001.

Sarah Cook, Asia researcher at Freedom House, and co-editor of the English
translation of Gao Zhisheng's memoir "A China More Just," will address press
freedom, grass roots rights advaocates to bring change.

Terri Marsh, J.D. Ph.D. in Classics, former Professor at UT Austin and UC San
Diego, co-founder and Executive Director of Human Rights Law Foundation.
