Oil and Gas Operator Red Mesa Appoints Executive to Lead Operations in
Southern Colorado
Denver-based Company Hires Oil and Gas Expert to Manage Production and
Development of La Plata County Oil Fields

DENVER, July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Red Mesa Holdings/O&G, LLC ("Red Mesa"),
a Denver-based oil and gas operator with production operations in the Rocky
Mountain region, today announced it has appointed Richard Larson as its vice
president of field operations in La Plata County, Colo. Larson is charged
with directing the company's field operations, including management,
exploration and production of Red Mesa's 5,000-acre oil and gas field.
Larson brings to Red Mesa more than 25 years of leadership and technical
experience in the oil and gas production industries. Before joining Red Mesa,
Larson served 6 years as the Coal Bed Methane (CBM) Manager/Geologist for two
private entities in the Raton Basin of Southern Colorado and Northern New
Mexico. During this time, Mr. Larson was responsible for coal bed methane
field development, including well drilling and completion, gathering systems,
electrical distribution system, compression facilities and sales pipeline
interconnects. Prior to the Raton Basin, he worked on numerous oil and gas
exploration and development projects throughout the Western U.S.

Larson earned a bachelor of science in earth sciences, geology, with a
minor in business management, from Montana State University in 1984. He is a
member of the Northwest Geologic Society, the Association of Groundwater
Scientists and Engineers, the Geologic Society of America and The Rocky
Mountain Association of Geologists.
