PITTSBURGH -- United States Steel Corporation invites interested media to
attend the dedication of the new Mon Valley Works Training Hub on Thursday,
July 24, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. The fully renovated, state-of-the-art facility,
which is located on a portion of the property once occupied by the company's
Duquesne Works, will serve as the primary training site for all Pittsburgh-
area Mon Valley Works employees.
Among those scheduled to speak at the ribbon-cutting ceremony are Lisa
Roudabush, Mon Valley Works general manager; Allegheny County Chief Executive
Dan Onorato; Ken Varhola, chief of staff for state Sen. Sean Logan; state Rep.
Marc Gergely; and Phillip Krivacek, mayor of Duquesne. Also scheduled to
attend the event are Anthony Bridge, U. S. Steel's vice president of
Operations - East; representatives from the offices of U.S. Rep. Mike Doyle
and state Sen. Jay Costa; and state Rep. Bill Kortz. Photo and interview
