Wabash National Awards Scholarships for 2008

LAFAYETTE, IN, Jul 22 (MARKET WIRE) --
Wabash National Corporation (NYSE: WNC) today awarded four students with
scholarships that, combined, represent a total award of up to $32,000.
Scholarships were presented at an awards ceremony held this afternoon at
the company's headquarters in Lafayette, Ind.
Wabash National's annual scholarship program provides recipients with
$1,000 per semester for up to four years. Scholarships are awarded to
children of Wabash National associates students who demonstrate
leadership, academic excellence, and strong extra curricular involvement.
2008 recipients include: Lauren Macy, of Veedersburg Indiana, and graduate
of Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics and Humanities; Amelia
Hitchcock, of Pine Village, Indiana, and graduate of Seeger Memorial High
School; Jordan Simpson, of Lafayette, Indiana, and graduate of Harrison
High School; and Shawn Ruemler, of Brookston, Indiana, and graduate of
Frontier High School.

Scholarship recipients are selected by a committee headed by Dr. Notary of
the Tippecanoe School Corporation. Selection is based on the following
criteria: grade point average, SAT scores, and extra curricular
activities. Recipients must be children of Wabash National associates and
high school seniors enrolled in an approved college, university, or
technical school.
