STOCKHOLM, Sweden--(Business Wire)--
Pearson Education, the world's largest publisher, has gone live on
schedule in Korea and Taiwan with its implementation of the IBS
Bookmaster publishing ERP system.

Pearson's single installation of IBS Bookmaster software on a Hong
Kong-based server enables management of all its operations in
Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan.

"Pearson wanted to benefit from the efficiencies of a single title
and customer file to cover its Asian operations and IBS enhanced the
standard IBS Bookmaster system to include double byte capability and
to format and display currencies differently in each country," said
Mike Irving, Vice President Publishing at IBS. He continues, "We also
increased the title and author fields to 60 characters to handle long
Korean names and as a result IBS Bookmaster now offers a true multi
language and multi currency solution."

The successful Pearson Korea and Taiwan implementations were
managed by a dedicated team of Pearson Bookmaster specialists lead by
project manager Darren Russell and Pearson Asia Regional IT manager
Vincent Li.

"By using IBS Bookmaster in Hong Kong for two years we have
developed high quality Bookmaster expertise in-house" said Darren
Russell. "The team worked very hard, with excellent support from IBS,
resulting in two successful implementations."

Pearson also uses IBS Bookmaster software in Australia, New
Zealand and India (on a server based in Melbourne) and in its MML
joint venture in South Africa. It is in the process of implementing
IBS Bookmaster in several European countries on a single UK-based
server and will begin to roll out IBS Bookmaster in Japan in 2009.

IBS Bookmaster software is the world's most widely used publishing
ERP system with customers in 22 countries on five continents.
