PARSIPPANY, NJ, Jul 23 (MARKET WIRE) --
CyberShift, a leading global provider of workforce management and
expense management software and services, today announced that it has
completed independent audits to demonstrate its compliance with the
Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) Section 5970, which, in
addition to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants'
Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) 70 Type II audit, provides an
independent, rigorous assessment of the design and effectiveness of the
company's controls for providing processing services to its clients. This
is the first year that CyberShift has completed the CICA 5970 audit, but
represents the third consecutive year of demonstrating its SAS 70 Type II
compliance.
The CICA 5970 and SAS 70 Type II reports provide third party validation of
the design, thoroughness and auditability of an organization's controls
used in providing services to others. This level of rigor is important to
CyberShift's customers, who represent some of the most successful
organizations in the world. CICA 5970 is the Canadian standard
administered by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, and SAS
70 Type II is the equivalent standard for the United States, developed by
the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. A CICA 5970 audit
demonstrates that CyberShift has audited controls and safeguards in place
to host or process data belonging to its customers.
Robert Farina, CEO of CyberShift, said, "By completing both CICA 5970 and
SAS 70 Type II audits, we are providing the level of transparency and
validation that our customers have every right to expect from a strategic
Software-as-a-Service provider such as CyberShift. Not only do these
audits demonstrate CyberShift's operational effectiveness in providing
processing services over an extended period of time, they are critical to
helping our customers address their own compliance and quality
initiatives."
The completion of the CICA 5970 and SAS 70 Type II audits allows
CyberShift to provide its clients with the documentation necessary to
relieve them of the burden of initiating their own audit of CyberShift's
controls and safeguards to meet government and equity exchange
regulations.
"We provide our workforce management and expense management software and
services to mid-sized and large companies that often are required by the
government to prove their ability to manage client data in a secure and
consistent manner," said Gene Wronko, director, Information Technology -
On Demand Services for CyberShift. "Our completion of both a comprehensive
CICA 5970 audit and a SAS 70 Type II audit demonstrates the priority we
place on ensuring the quality and effectiveness of our operational
procedures, controls and IT infrastructure."
