Completes Integration of Acquired Business Units to Fuel
Multi-platform Growth
SEATTLE--(Business Wire)--
Casual Connect - Oberon Media, the world's leading multi-platform
casual-games company, today announced that it has inked several new
partnerships with leading companies around the world and has completed
the comprehensive integration of its acquired business units.
Oberon is launching new, ad-supported game channels with SPILL
Group's Gamenext, a leading online game destination featuring dozens
of localized portals; Sky UK, the operator of the UK's largest digital
pay television platform and a leading broadcaster of sports, movies,
entertainment and news and SweetIM, a leading provider of instant
messenger technologies and content. Further, in an expansion of an
existing relationship, Oberon and Telefonica, one of the leading
integrated telecommunications operators worldwide, will soon launch a
new ad-supported game channel.
Oberon's diverse revenue streams allow partners to monetize each
customer, either directly through game sales or indirectly through
advertising sponsorships. For many leading partners, this rapidly
growing part of Oberon's business is responsible for more than 50
percent of revenue. As expansion continues across every platform,
Oberon continues to deploy iTV channels, the latest of which is the
result of a partnership with Bell Express Vu, Canada's leading digital
television provider, to deploy Oberon's 'JIVE(TM),' an interactive
television community management platform.
"Advertising-supported game channels represent a significant
growth opportunity for Oberon," Tomer Ben Kiki, Oberon Media CEO said.
"And our new, optimized organization is perfectly positioned to take
the company and its partners to the next level."
In the last year, Oberon has completed five acquisitions and their
integration created functional groups across all divisions. Some of
the fully integrated business units include publishing, international
operations, business development and partner relations of online,
mobile and iTV, marketing, product development and finance.
