Oberon Media Unveils Revolutionary, Patent-pending Technology to Bring One-to-one Marketing to Downloadable Games
SweetSpot Technology will be Offered Free to Oberon Partners
SEATTLE--(Business Wire)--
Casual Connect - Oberon Media, the world's leading multi-platform
casual-games company, today unveiled its new, patent-pending marketing
tool, SweetSpot Technology(TM). SweetSpot Technology combines a
state-of-the-art personalization engine with advanced heuristics and
an adaptive UI framework to bring one-to-one marketing to downloadable
casual games.
Typically, as many as 70 percent of players who purchase
downloadable games do so within the game wrapper. This poses a
challenge to marketers, who can only deliver marketing messages to
players until the game is downloaded and the trial period begins.
SweetSpot Technology analyzes the probability of the player to
purchase a game at any moment, then modifies the user interface and
delivers coupons, cross-promotions, extended trials and other
customized offers. Game marketers can now bring the right message to
the right player at the right time, and closer to the moment of the
purchase decision than ever before.
"SweetSpot Technology is unlike any other game wrapper on the
market because it actually predicts player behavior, identifies the
most compelling offer for that player, and seals the deal and sells
the game," Guy Vardi, Oberon Media's SVP gaming solutions said.
"Results of early field tests are extremely impressive and we're
certain our partners will reap the benefits of this unique
technology."
"This is a business analytic tool that has the potential to allow
casual games publishers to more effectively monetize their traffic,"
Michael Pachter, Analyst at Wedbush Morgan Securities said.
SweetSpot Technology is currently in beta and is already in being
tested on several partner sites. Oberon plans to roll out the solution
to all its partners free of charge later this year.
