Curt Lewis & Associates Offers IS-BAO Audits for Business Aviation

FORT WORTH, Texas--(Business Wire)--
Curt Lewis & Associates announced today that the company has
expanded its services by offering certified International Standard for
Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) audits. The IS-BAO is considered
the "gold standard" for business flight departments and fixed base
operators (FBOs) in meeting effective and efficient processes for
safety and security.

Two CLA associates hold IS-BAO certification, which means they
have undergone rigorous training and are recognized by the
International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) to assist new or
existing business flight departments or FBOs that wish to adhere to
internationally-recognized safety and security processes. IS-BAO
applies to any size fleet, ranging from a two-aircraft fleet to a
large international one.

CLA's lead IS-BAO audit associate, Richard Malczynski, helped one
company achieve IS-BAO registration in as few as seven months. A
flight department or FBO wishing to achieve IS-BAO can find the audit
to be a demanding process, according to Malczynksi, but ultimately a
rewarding one. IS-BAO audits involve investigating and, in some cases,
aligning processes to adhere to best practices approved by the IBAC.

The IBAC approved standards that incorporate ISO 9000 processes,
along with recommendations from the Flight Safety Foundation. These
processes use the next-generation safety management system (SMS) as a
framework. Currently, IS-BAO is the only certification that meets or
exceeds all the requirements of the International Civil Aviation
Organization (ICAO), requirements to which all aircraft operating in
ICAO-governed airspace must adhere by 2010.
