LOS ANGELES--(Business Wire)--
B. Riley & Co, LLC will host a one day institutional investor
conference on August 12, 2008 at Le Meridien Hotel in San Francisco
focused on its Cash Rich Tech Stock Index III (CRTS III). The Index
consists of companies that B. Riley analysts believe will outperform
in today's challenging markets.

In addition to company presentations from 15 of the 35 companies
in the CRTS III Index, the conference will feature a special session
that will focus on issues relevant to cash rich tech stocks, what
these companies need to do to enhance shareholder value, attract
investors, and outperform the market. The panel will also discuss
trends in technology.

Moderated by Mr. Eric J. Savitz, Barron's West Coast Editor and
Tech Trader Columnist, the panel will include Mr. Robert A. Claassen,
Partner Capital Markets Practice and Technology Chair at Paul Hastings
Janofsky & Walker; Mr. Umang Gupta, Chairman and CEO of Keynote
Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:KEYN); Jeffrey Cavins, CEO of CallWave, Inc.
(Nasdaq:CALL); Dr. Martin H. Singer, Ph.D, Chairman and CEO of PCTEL,
Inc. (Nasdaq:PCTI); and Wes Cummins, President of B. Riley.

Recognized as a market contrarian, B. Riley initiated its Cash
Rich Tech Stock Index III in January 2008 after "identifying tech
companies which have a better chance of weathering market downturns,"
said Corydon. "The profile of the CRTS III Index company is one which,
we believe, has solid technology, high cash reserves, and has very
large cash balances relative to market capitalization."

This CRTS III Index is a follow-up to the CRTS I and CRTS II
Indexes launched during the tech sector downturns of 2002 and 2005.
Both indexes outperformed the markets.(a)

"Once again, recent stock market declines have resulted in what we
believe to be attractive valuations for many of the companies we
follow," added Corydon. "At times like these, we expect investors to
gravitate toward companies that do not need to access equity or debt
markets, and to companies that offer downside protection because of
their strong balance sheets."
