MicroTech Purchases Visual Communications Division of SIGCOM

VIENNA, Va., July 23 /PRNewswire/ -- MicroTechnologies, LLC (D.B.A.
MicroTech), a leading Information Technology, network support, communications
and systems engineering firm, agreed today to purchase the assets of SIGCOM's
Visual Communications Technology Division for an undisclosed amount of money.
SIGCOM, based in Greensboro, NC, has been a pioneer and leader in visual
communications, video teleconferencing services, audio visual integration,
Internet Protocol (IP) network services, streaming video solutions and many
other types of communications technical services and solutions for over 20
years. A particular area of focus is providing secure, high quality, high
volume video conferencing services over IP networks. 

With this acquisition, MicroTech will provide managed solutions for the most
demanding conferencing and collaboration technology supporting mission
critical requirements throughout the Department of Defense, other federal
