ANGLO & OVERSEAS PLC

Based on a bid price valuation, the unaudited net asset value per Ordinary
Share of the Company as at 22 July 2008 was 104.16 pence including estimated
current period revenue and 101.46 pence excluding current period revenue.

This is based on 80,418,381 Ordinary Shares, being the issued capital of
89,352,819 Ordinary Shares less 8,934,438 Ordinary Shares held in treasury.
