Courage Cards Announces National Art Search

MINNEAPOLIS, July 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Courage Cards, part of nonprofit
Minneapolis-based Courage Center, announces a nationwide art search to find
artwork for its 2009 original fine art holiday greeting card collection.
Courage Cards is celebrating its 50th anniversary as a holiday card company!
Artists are encouraged to submit artwork for the Courage Cards Art Search.
Courage Cards seeks artwork that is suitable for holiday greeting cards.
Artwork needed includes: Thanksgiving, holiday traditions, winter city
scenes, winter landscape and wildlife, traditional christmas, and
multicultural and international peace. Art that depicts major city scenes
including Minneapolis, New York, Chicago and other metropolitan cities and
other "Main Street USA" images are also needed.
In addition to national exposure from the distribution of more than one
million catalogs and promotional pieces, a licensing fee is paid for each
piece of artwork selected. Artists also receive recognition with a photo and
an artist profile on the back of every card.
Entries for the Courage Cards Art Search will be accepted through October
31, 2008. Approximately 40 images will be selected for inclusion in the 2009
Courage Card Collection on the basis of theme, artistry, imagination and
marketability. Winners of the Courage Cards Art Search will be announced in
April 2009.
