SPRING HOUSE, Pa.--(Business Wire)--
The Ambler Area YMCA receives a Community Partnership Initiative
(CPI) Impact Award from the Rohm and Haas Spring House Technical
Center to enhance its successful HIP (Health Intervention Program) for
youth.

The $5,000 CPI Impact Award was created to celebrate Rohm and
Haas's 10th CPI Anniversary. Through the program, Rohm and Haas has
contributed $2.1 million to approximately 46 community organizations,
including $300,000 in grants provided by the Rohm and Haas Spring
House Technical Center to organizations in the local community.

The Ambler Area YMCA received one of the CPI grants in 2005. The
organization used the grant to create the HIP Program, which teaches
children and their families about physical fitness and healthy living
habits. The Ambler YMCA has offered 15 sessions of HIP for 150 youth,
and the majority of participants have maintained or lost weight.

"The CPI process is truly a cooperative effort between Rohm and
Haas and our neighbors," said Danielle Beerhalter Leheny, Rohm and
Haas Public Affairs Manager. "The committed volunteers who serve on
our Community Advisory Council guide the CPI program by evaluating
grant applications and awarding grants to local nonprofit
organizations."

The CPI focuses on supporting youth education programs. Programs
must target youth in Ambler Borough, Lower Gwynedd, Upper Dublin
and/or Whitpain.
