Kindred Healthcare and Humana Reach Agreement on National Contract

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(Business Wire)--
Kindred Healthcare, Inc. ("Kindred") (NYSE:KND) today announced
that Kindred and Humana Inc. (NYSE:HUM) have reached agreement on a
contract that allows Humana members to access Kindred nursing centers
in 26 states.
The contract took effect June 1, 2008. Terms of the agreement were
not disclosed. Under the agreement, members of Humana's commercial
insurance plans and Medicare Advantage plans will be able to access
223 Kindred nursing centers.
