MADRID, July 23 (Reuters) - Spanish telecommunications company Jazztel (JAZ.MC) on Wednesday said its second-quarter net loss narrowed 4 percent from a year ago to 24.7 million euros ($39.3 million), in line with its business plan.

EBITDA, or earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, fell 28 percent to 300,000 euros. Revenues rose 6 percent to 82.6 million euros.

Jazztel, one of Telefonica's (TEF.MC) main competitors in Spain's fixed-line and broadband markets, hopes to book a net profit by 2010.

The company wants a 5.5 percent share of Spain's broadband market by 2010, but is operating in an increasingly competitive market with net debt of 262 million euros at end-2007.

It added 24,121 ADSL clients in the second quarter. (Reporting by Paul Day; Editing by Quentin Webb)
