Bookies see major European indexes up 0.7-0.8 pct

LONDON, July 23 (Reuters) - Major European indexes are set to open 0.7 to 0.8 percent higher on Wednesday, according to financial bookmakers, tracking overnight gains in the U.S. and Asian markets.

Financial spreadbetters expected Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE to open up 40 to 45 points, Germany's DAX .GDAXI to trade 33 to 42 points higher and France's CAC-40 .FCHI to be 29 to 34 points stronger at the open.

European shares closed mixed on Monday, with the FTSE 100 down 0.7 percent, the DAX up 0.3 percent and CAC-40 up 0.7 percent. (Reporting by Atul Prakash)
