SEOUL, July 23 (Reuters) - Seoul shares opened 1.6 percent higher on Wednesday after steep falls in oil prices eased inflation worries and helped lift U.S. stocks overnight, boosting South Korean exporters such as Hyundai Motor (005380.KS).

The Korea Composite Stock Price Index .KS11 was up 1.81 percent to 1,589.54 points as of 0003 GMT.
